Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
ONE tell tale sign of aging is pigmented lesions or "age spots" on the hand. With the use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), these spots are lessened or completely resolved. While Radiesse will increase volume, IPL will address the visible skin. Together these treatments will provide more youthful looking hands.

During the treatment, some patients experience mild discomfort that can be addressed with a topical anesthetic. Following each treatment, the skin may appear flushed, tiny vessels may be more visible, and brown spots may appear darker. These effects decrease in a few hours.

How can I prevent my hands from looking old?

Generally, a healthier lifestyle which indicates a good diet and regular exercise can be helpful. A no smoking policy should also be enforced to ensure more youthful hands. Be sure to use a good quality sunscreen on your hands every day. Often times people think that sunscreen on the backs of the hands is not necessary in the winter; it should be noted that sun exposure to the backs of the hand at any time will cause aging.
